About 2008 Volkswagen Passat
The base engine is a 200-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder. An optional, 3.6-liter narrow angle six-cylinder engine produces 280 hp. Volkswagen Passat features great driving characteristics. An advanced version of the proven independent McPherson strut architecture up front combined with a multi-link system in back creates a very desirable low tendency to allow body roll, resulting in a stable and comfortable ride quality.
The attention to interior detail and class-leading fit and finish provide an upscale passenger environment. Front and rear passengers enjoy generous legroom and headroom. Front seats are firm and have bolsters for good support.
The driver's seat features 10-way power adjustment with manual height adjustment and power lumbar support adjustment. Combined with the tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, almost every driver can find a comfortable and safe driving position. For added rear passenger comfort, the 60/40 folding seatbacks incorporate a folding center armrest with pass-through trunk access.
A red backlit information display is positioned between the tachometer and speedometer for easy reading. The display includes a compass, odometer and indicators for the radio station and gear selector.
